Challenge

The new CDO (Chief Data Officer) at our client needed to re-design his existing operating model, to better support the demands of the business from the data team

Research was needed, both internal and external, to understand the requirements and best positioning of a data delivery senior team spanning Data Science, Insight, Strategy, Capability, Engineering and Delivery

A discrete and thorough search and selection service was needed to identify and appoint new leadership roles.

Solution

CVM People partnered with the CDO, the existing data team, and the relevant HR business partners to assess the current leadership structure and design the new roles, providing research and insight into the positioning of these prospective appointments, and supporting in the creation of all recruitment assets from the Job Description to the Attraction Packs

Developed a bespoke assessment criteria to be used as part of the CVM People interview process.

Having identified an inclusive shortlist for the 3 core positions, we supported our client design and implement an appropriate interview process client-side

Results

CVM People secured 3 new appointments for our client’s senior leadership team: Director of Analytics and Decision Science, Head of Data Science and Director of Data Strategy

All three candidates were from underrepresented groups and helped our client promote further diversity within their senior leadership team
