Challenge

During a successful consulting engagement for the Director of Data and Insight, our client asked us to support the recruitment of multiple key hires across their Data and Insight teams

The scope of work included the appointment of a senior data leader to oversee the new, group data management solution as well as a range of more hands on, operational roles.

All job descriptions needed to be designed and leveled appropriately

Solution

We partnered closely with our client’s internal talent team to support the design and positioning of 10 new hires for the data team and a further 9 for the CRM team

We agreed to divide the focus of the recruitment between CVM People and our client’s talent team, so that a proportion of the roles could be appointed directly. The remaining, more difficult roles would be headhunted by the CVM People team.

Due to the strength of our relationship with the brand, we also supported the internal talent team with the candidate assessments of the direct applicants in addition to the searches we were managing exclusively. This ensured a fair and equal assessment process for all applications.

CVM People consulting team also hosted training sessions to support the internal talent team deepen their own data related subject matter expertise for future recruitment projects they may be managing.

Results

We successfully appointed a new snr leader to oversee their group data management platform, SCV and manage the growing team

6 new candidates were appointed by the CVM People team to work in the new data team to support this estate, their skillsets spanning development, design and analysis

A further 5 candidates were placed in the group insight and campaign analysis team by CVM People to start identifying new opportunities within the customer base to drive loyalty and engagement from the newly developed SCV.
