Senior Quality Engineer
Locations: Atlanta, New York, Chicago, West Hartford, or Boston (Hybrid Working 2 days in-office)
Salary: $120,000 – $150,000 (depending on experience) + benefits
CVM People are excited to partner with a leading insurance brand based in Atlanta. Our client is investing heavily in its modern cloud data platform and is looking for a Senior Quality Engineer to play a key role in ensuring high-quality data solutions across the business.
Reporting into the Director of Data Engineering, you’ll bring an automation-first, shift-left mindset, acting as the voice of quality across the data engineering lifecycle. You’ll work closely with product owners, data engineers, and stakeholders to embed quality into everything that’s delivered.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with stakeholders early to clarify requirements and define clear, testable outcomes
- Translate business needs into unambiguous requirements with product owners
- Design and build automated tests to validate functionality and prevent regression
- Develop and evolve test automation frameworks for data platforms
- Partner with data engineers to ensure quality is embedded in code and pipelines
- Participate in code reviews with a continuous improvement mindset
- Champion a strong culture of quality, ownership, and collaboration
What are we looking for?
- Strong experience as a Senior Quality Engineer /SDET within data or analytics environments
- Automation-first mindset with hands-on coding experience
- Excellent knowledge of Python testing frameworks, particularly pytest
- Experience with BDD approaches (Cucumber/Gherkin)
- Solid SQL skills
- Experience with cloud data platforms such as Databricks or Snowflake
- Comfortable working in agile, cross-functional Scrum teams
