Platform Administrator (Mid-Level)
Location: Hybrid (Basingstoke, London, or Oldbury – 2 days in-office per week)
Salary: Up to £55,000 (depending on experience)

What You’ll Be Doing Platform Administration:
- Manage and configure Databricks environments, including workspace setup, integration with Azure services (Key Vault, storage accounts), and user permission management.
- Handle requests to IT Operations for resource provisioning and configuration.
- Experiment with and implement new Databricks features to enable functionality across teams.
Infrastructure Development:
- Support Azure cloud infrastructure, including networking, security, and other resources.
- Leverage tools and practices for Infrastructure as Code (IaC) to automate processes over time.
Collaboration & Growth:
- Work closely with engineering, architecture, and data teams to deliver high-quality, scalable solutions.
- Partner with cross-functional squads to ensure alignment and operational efficiency in an agile-like environment.
Emerging Technologies:
- Contribute to the provisioning and administration of tools like ER/Studio and OpenAI resources to support advanced analytics and AI initiatives.
- Stay up to date with emerging technologies and identify opportunities for platform enhancements.
About You
You are a hands-on problem solver who enjoys platform administration and has a keen interest in cloud technologies. While this is not a programming-heavy role, some familiarity with languages like Python or C is beneficial.
Key Skills and Experience:
- Strong hands-on experience with Databricks administration (essential).
- Knowledge of Azure cloud infrastructure, including provisioning resources and configuring environments.
- Ability to configure and manage user permissions, storage accounts, and other Azure components.
- Familiarity with basic programming concepts (Python or C preferred).
- Interest in working with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and tools to streamline processes.
Nice-to-Have:
- Experience with ER/Studio or similar tools.
- Exposure to OpenAI or AI-driven projects.
