M&A Consultant
Day Rate – Negotiable
Location – Remote Working
We are looking for an experienced M&A Consultant to support one of the UK’s leading household names on a targeted acquisition project within the home services sector. This role involves market scanning to identify potential acquisition targets, leading teams to appraise growth opportunities, conducting due diligence, and preparing investment committee papers. You will also work closely with Risk and Internal Audit teams to ensure effective processes, reviews, and risk mitigation strategies.

Role Responsibilities:
- Perform financial modeling, valuations, and prepare investment papers.
- Lead due diligence and collaborate with corporate teams (e.g. risk, strategy) to progress acquisitions.
- Manage end-to-end deal processes independently without analyst support.
- Perform market scanning activities to develop a watch-list of entities /acquisition targets across the portfolio.
Skills and Experience:
- Proven track record in acquisitions (not just mergers), preferably with companies that have large field forces or customer-facing operations.
- Solid experience in financial modeling and valuation.
- Background in industries such as retail or B2B services is advantageous.
- Ability to work independently and manage cross-functional teams to deliver results.
- Work experience in top tier management consulting (manager level) or substantial experience in corporate strategy and / or business planning with strong analytical skills
