There Service Designers design the end-to-end experience of their services, bringing service excellence to 7.5 million residential energy customers.
What are they looking for?
Somebody who is an expert at designing services from end to end, this could be from an initial idea, user need or where you have improved any existing services that are underperforming.
Someone who is comfortable working on their own initiative proactively, but you will also receive guidance and support from their Head of Design as part of a wider design community.
They are looking for someone to be responsible for the Service Design function where you will need to set the direction and assure the quality of design delivery across different teams, so you will need to be comfortable leading multiple or highly complex services at any one time.
Comfortable leading and mentoring our Service designers, you will be expected to be a natural leader and be comfortable making quick, pragmatic decisions in a way that balances the needs of your team, the community, and the business.
What will you need?

  • Experience in Service Design and Design Thinking is essential.
  • Experienced in both facilitation and the application of Design Thinking Methodology – you are able to lead end-to-end collaborative design sessions.
  • Experience producing common Service Design artefacts, such as Service Blueprints, user journeys, and personas.
  • Ability to organise data into journey / experience maps and service blueprints and translate concepts and ideas into business cases and proposals.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Data-focused.
